MANILA, Philippines — Two Grade 8 students died after being stabbed by three other minors outside their school in Las Piñas last April 11, according to police.
In a report from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), authorities said the incident transpired along Balikatan Street, Barangay BF International, CAA around 7 p.m.

Upon exiting their school, the two victims were reportedly approached by the three Grade 9 students, who are now described by police as children in conflict with the law (CICL).

Police said the three Grade 9 students suddenly stabbed the two — one on the left lateral neck and the other on his right chest.
Both were rushed to the Las Piñas District Hospital but were pronounced dead by the attending physician at 7:42 p.m.

Citing witness’ account, police said one of the victims and one of the Grade 9 students were seen arguing inside the school’s restroom earlier during their break time.

Authorities already talked to the parents of the three Grade 9 students, which resulted in their voluntary surrender.

A complaint of two counts of murder will be filed against the three CICLs before the Office of the City Prosecutor, Las Piñas.
